Mini-Update.

So, back in the end of January I was able to order a couple of doll bodies and now at the close of April the end of the waiting period is nigh. I having been distracted by Ezra's arrival hadn't really been thinking about the order too much and now (50-something days into my 60 business day wait) I am getting positively anxious to get my shipping notice.

Since Lawrence (my classical musician) took over Sameth/Wolf's (my Jester and assassin) body I've been longing to re-complete the guy. And Puck (my mischievous little sprite) will also be getting his body. Alas, it will still be some time before I can get proper clothing and such for these guys but we'll manage with all of the extra things I have around. It'll be nice to have fewer floating heads laying around.

Hopefully, the next guy to get a body will be Xander (my Rockstar) as the one I have in mind for him is rather inexpensive. I still am unsure of how I'll be dealing with Fallon(my storm demon) because the body I've wanted for him is out of production and Miah (the brat guitarist). Natsuhiko, Fuyuki (the gamers) will get bodies probably during the next event I have money during from their company. Same story for Wren(the faerie) and Ayra(character unknown) but after the boys. Hopefully, there will be no unexpected arrivals between.

Other than that I've got to re-shell Lex which will probably take a while and there are a few other characters that have to come about including the rest of Xander's band, Robin, Tweak's construct, Dhyar, and Kon.

Since Ezra arrived Brother has been the one in the body Alister is probably missing Sister Ezra but as the shyer of the two she'll probably wait until Alister orders her to come out. For now Alister is enjoying the easy comfort of being with Brother. So here are a couple shots!

About the Stories

The first stories are all going to be the ways the characters have come to be a part of the 1/2-Way world. They are a little bit history and character intro. Some of the characters are "Permanent residents" These are the ones that will spend their entire existence at the 1/2-way. Currently the permanent residents are:

Momo

Wren

Lex

Sameth/Wolf

Then there are the "Transient Residents" these tend to live at the 1/2-Way while they are visiting other worlds or hiding out. They usually have some need for connection to the 1/2-Way but also cannot remain off their home worlds for too long for whatever reasons. This group is currently mostly lesser gods and powerful demon nobility. Currently the "Transient Residents" are:

Sijukara (Si-chan)

Gunther

Fallon

Puck

There are also "Temporary Residents" these are ones that are live at the 1/2-Way while they are needed or waiting to find their place in a world. They are usually looking for something. Currently the "Temporary Residents" are:

Lastly there are "Non-Residents" like the name suggests they don't live at the 1/2-Way but they are characters connected to the 1/2-Way somehow. These generally are friends or family of residents. Currently the "Non-Residents" are:

Eventually I'd like to have full written Profiles and character intros for everyone here but I do tend to take my time between writings. Hopefully I'll manage something new in the next few weeks.

"The Living Dead Demon" Resident Status: Permanent

A small spirit sat in a field, his lifeless body inches away, to the east a small stream and above the branches of a peach tree ripe with fruit. Had he liked peaches when he was alive? He wasn't sure. He examined his body, his face looked young and his robes were fine all white and light blue. He had a vague feeling the colors meant something.

He seemed to understand the concepts of life. Things like colors, what being alive meant and that twilight was closing quickly around him. However, the details of his life were fuzzy almost like watching a movie from behind frosted glass with earplugs in. And worse yet he felt as though something was watching him now.

As he turned and looked at the peach tree he noticed a woman walking toward him. He wondered if she would see him. In the distance there was a warm light from between the treeline.

The woman looked down at the body."This won't do at all" she said to no one. She bent down to gather up the little boy with all his beautiful fabric. His skin had already paled, his lips had gone blue. She thought suffocation or drowning as she looked at the nearby stream. Why had the body been so lovingly placed at the base of the tree?

She looked over at the tree line. "Little demon's spirit are you ready to come along?"

The spirit was almost startled. "Where are we going, miss?"

"Home, little demon."

"I'm dead. I have no home."

"Then make your home with me."

"You would have a demon's spirit in your home?"He asked

"You are still needed or else I would not be here. I have certain powers to bind your spirit back to your body, I may be able to age it at certain times even to give you a proper adult appearance when you are ready. You will be alive in every sense except that your body will remain without heartbeat or breath and I will be the only one able to unbind spirit from body again."

"And you would let me stay with you?"He asked again

She smiled at him "It is not particularly my choice, however, it is my pleasure."

The boy demon spirit nodded and stood. He made a motion as though to dust off his robes and stopped short. They walked quickly together toward the treeline and the light through the oncoming night. He smiled at the woman. "Have you a name?"

"I am called Mother by most. And yours?"

His smile faltered "I do not know."

"Momo then. For the sweet little boy under the peach tree."

As they reached the warm light in the woods Momo passed through quickly ready to explore his new home but the woman paused ear to the wind looked up into a tree and smiled.

"You too little one come along"

As a flicker of white light passed through the particular, peculiar door Ivy followed closing it on a world for now.

"The Den Mother" Resident Status: Permanent

Ivy is a woman who has lived many lives in many different dimensions. She was once a Queen, Witch, Soldier, Goddess Incarnate, Concubine, Slave, Village Shaman and School's Headmistress. She is intelligent, kind, fierce, bold and fair. She was loved and feared by many in all of her lives and after her final life the Mother Goddess decided to reward her for the way she had lived.

She was given a choice to continue being re-incarnated each new life she would be able to decide who she would be or to be given a celestial job of her own choice. Ivy thought long and hard before giving the Mother Goddess her answer.

It was: "I would be counselor to all those who truly need direction, the architect of beautiful loves, director of lives lived well."

And the Mother Goddess responded "You would be the holder of the key to dimensions. You shall sit at the hub and you will be Mother as I am. Those who need will come to you and those you need will come to you. Your title is now Dimensional Emissary Named Mother."

Those words faded and Ivy found herself looking at a particular, peculiar door. This is how her story began.

The 1/2-Way Intro.

On every world, in every city, in every civilization there is a particular doorway. It is peculiar. Much like any other doorway this one opens and closes often but not all people can see it. Some find it by accident and some are led.

Through this doorway you will find a particular place. It is also peculiar. This place claims pieces of all those who come through and often gives them to others. It contains more rooms than it could possibly hold and more doors than it could possibly need. Even those who spend years here know that sometimes it simply changes.

This place and it's doorway are a hub, the connecting point for those who live but need lives, a shelter for those who need a direction, and a haven for those lost and lonely souls who find their way in. It is part house and part heart. It is the place through which all dimensions are connected. It is a home.


~The 1/2-Way~

News, News, and News

So, regarding the last post 2(well technically 3 since Wolf/Tikuri are the same physical character) of my floating heads are acquiring bodies from that sale and I'll also be getting another head which I'm unsure if I'll be keeping. Puck will finally be complete and Wolf will be complete again. That's what I'll be waiting for for the next couple of months.

Ezra has arrived and as my first doll from this company since their restructure I must say I love her body (Note: I do tend to refer to her physical body as female however Ezra is both a boy and a girl with 2 separate personalities in the same body). The moniker "kid" that her body type has is perhaps a stretch. Her lines are elegant and her jointing is lovely. And the event head that I got is also beautiful I've decided that his given name is Fuyuki and his in-game name is Finley his handle is SummerSnow.

Last bit of news is that the shipping on the doll with which my other event head is coming is going very slowly and I probably have a few weeks before Natsuhiko (in-game: Owen, Handle: WinterRain) shows up.

The waiting is the hardest part but I have doll stuff organizing and purchases to make for all of the new bodies arriving.
