It was my intention for this post to be about my dolls themselves. I was going to go through the list and do sort of a run down of their names, ages, personalities, quirks etc. This is not the only plan that seems to be going off track.
I was browsing my favorite dolly forum and found that one of the companies that I've planned to make several purchases from in the future is having an event. Usually events mean special/limited items, freebies(with qualifying purchase) and/or sales. The company in question has decided to throw all three at me. Nothing is more annoying to me than missing a great opportunity that will not break my rule. Not only that the price for the qualifying purchase is counted prior to the discount. However, I'm safe for at least the next few days the company is on holiday until next Wednesday at which time they'll release the pictures of the freebie if I don't like it I may opt for a smaller (planned but now out of order) purchase to take advantage of the discount.
Luckily I have a bit of wiggle room with these things for a while. Still it would be nice if something went the way I thought it would.

This is how the plans go.
So, currently I have 7 bodiless resin kids and 2 more on the way on top of my 8 full dolls and 1 on the way. Most are in varying states of "completion" and a couple need some sprucing up.
Right now the most pressing issue is that I not get distracted with new dolls/heads/characters. I have a few that I have already put on the back burner in favor of getting the I-need-it-now-because-it-is-limited/time-sensitive/on-sale-etc. To this end I've given myself a new rule I am not allowed to get any new heads or full dolls until I get a body for one of the floaters that is currently here. The only issue I see may be my justifying ordering a body and full doll at the same time since it doesn't break my rule
First on the list to get a body will probably be Alexander(Mgidoll tan Ryu) as his planned body (Bobobie light tan70cm boy) is a relatively inexpensive one. I'm not sure how close the resin match will actually be but luckily having it blushed is always an option.
I also have to re-body Lex (Iplehouse real skin Luo). I purchased the perfect sculpt for him back in 09, however, there was a production issue with the dolls produced at that time and his lovely skin tone changed unevenly. The issue has since been fixed and I will probably be selling his current embodiment for funds toward the purchase of the new one.
Then there are the others that will take longer to plan out: the dreaded splits where I'd need to find someone to pitch in for parts I don't need and the wait for bodies that are currently not being produced for one reason or another.
Hopefully things will start coming together soon.
